Backes & Strauss had the pleasure of participating in this year's World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH).
During the exhibition, Backes & Strauss showcased their latest releases alongside their existing collection to clients and friends. The highlights included The W1 Collection, The Piccadilly Mayfair Collection, The Queen of Hearts Colour Cascade, The Queen of Hearts Blue Velvet, The Queen of Hearts Diamond, and the Alice Collection.

DESCRIPTION
The Backes & Strauss Queen of Hearts collection, with its deliciously slim cases, has had one new poetic timepiece added to the collection: Queen of Hearts. The majesty of this bejewelled timepiece resides in the 36 heart-shaped sapphires, which flagrantly express romance and glamour via a jewellery-set bezel, allowing the gemstones to be the dazzling protagonists.
The white mother-of-pearl dial is set with 70 round brilliant diamonds and 4 heart-shaped diamonds to every quarter of the hour. The interlocking hearts on the dial further pay homage to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s undying love, reminiscent of the iconic interlocking hearts from our feminine Victoria collection.
The craftsmanship involved in making these pieces requires the expertise of an experienced master craftsman, polishing these heart-shaped gemstones to identical sizes and shapes; a true labour of love.

The W1 Collection
