DESCRIPTION
The Regent 1609 AD, available in 18kt white or rose gold, celebrates both creativity and science. Designed to honour Sir Thomas Harriot, the first British astronomer to map the moon 400 years ago, it brings together the ingenuity of two Houses: Backes & Strauss and Franck Muller. Its dial reveals the different phases of the moon in midnight blue and is set with 17 diamonds, portraying the Great Bear Constellation, while its gold case is further set with 54 Ideal Cut diamonds. Last but definitely not least, the crown of the watch houses 1 Ideal Cut diamond, also known as Backes & Strauss' signature Jewel in the Crown.
